Hyphoderma roseocremeum
(Bres.) Donk

Study description
A fungus typical of broadleaf trees, forming completely resupinate basidiomes, cream-colored with pinkish flushes, with a smooth surface and waxy consistency.
Monomitic hyphal system, with generative hyphae only: hyaline, thin- to slightly thick-walled, 3-5.5 µm wide, profusely branched, with clamp connections at the septa.
Cystidia deeply immersed in the hymenium, clearly visible only in KOH mounts: leptocystidia-like, cylindrical, slightly sinuous, 60-100 µm long, 6-10 µm wide, thin-walled and hyaline.
Basidia clavate, 25-48 µm long and 4-8 µm wide, with basal clamps, 4-spored.
Spores cylindrical, hyaline, thin-walled, with a more or less central apiculus at one end, vacuolar internal content, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
Herbarium material available: JTP2639/25.
