Study description

Semi-aquatic species occurring on all kinds of substrates, characterized by highly refractive vacuolar bodies in its paraphyses.

Medullary excipulum of textura intricata; ectal excipulum of textura angularis, with more or less rectangular hyphae arranged parallel to each other.

Asci cylindric-clavate, 8-spored, inoperculate, with biseriate to slightly irregular spore arrangement, with croziers at their base and an amyloid reaction of their minute apical apparatus in IKI.

Paraphyses filiform, septate in their lower part, barely swollen at the apex, containing abundant refractive vacuolar content inside.

Ascospores ellipsoidal to slightly fusiform, with one end slightly more pointed, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with faint vacuolar internal content.

Herbarium material available: JTP2651/25 and 2653/25.
