(Pers.) Rehm ex Kauffman

Study description
On decaying pine cone on the ground.
Medullary excipulum with hyaline, moderately thick-walled, interwoven hyphae (textura intricata).
Ectal excipulum with hyphae of globose to prismatic texture, hyaline and thick-walled.
Asci cylindric-clavate, 8-spored, with biseriate to irregular spore arrangement, up to 125 µm long by 7 µm wide, without croziers at their base, with an amyloid apical apparatus in Melzer's reagent.
Paraphyses filiform, without significant swellings, up to 3 µm wide at the apex, with abundant refractive vacuoles inside, projecting slightly above the level of the asci.
Ascospores cylindrical to subfusiform, flattened on one side, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with abundant vacuolar internal content concentrated especially at the poles, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
