Hyaloscypha minuta
(Spooner & Dennis) Baral

Study description
Collected in riparian woodland on unidentified broadleaf wood; unlike most congeners, it lacks distinct marginal hairs.
Margin without differentiated hairs, composed of hyaline, cylindrical, septate hyphae, arranged parallelly with rounded tips.
Excipulum with short cells, subglobose to slightly angular, hyaline, moderately thick-walled, with length typically not exceeding 30 µm.
Asci cylindric-clavate, 8-spored, with simple base (lacking croziers), inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
Paraphyses filamentous, hyaline, septate, up to 2.5 µm wide, barely projecting above the asci.
Ascospores ellipsoidal, smooth, hyaline, thin- to very slightly thick-walled, aseptate though possibly developing a transverse septum at maturity, with abundant vacuolar internal content.
