Hyalorbilia ulicicola
Baral & Priou

Study description
A species associated with Ulex, though not exclusive to it; according to literature also recorded on wood of gymnosperms and angiosperms.
Ectal and marginal excipulum of textura prismatica, with more or less rectangular hyphae, arranged parallelly, hyaline and thick-walled.
Asci cylindrical to narrowly clavate, 8-spored, up to 30 µm long and 3.5-5 µm wide, covered with a gel layer across the entire hymenium that stains in Congo Red.
Paraphyses equal in length to the asci, but much narrower, with a width barely exceeding 2 µm.
Ascospores cylindrical to subfusiform, very short, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with tapered ends and guttules inside, mostly concentrated at both poles.
