Study description
A unique species within its genus in producing conidia (blastoconidia) on the stipe surface.
Pileipellis composed of hyaline filamentous hyphae, 4-6 µm wide, arranged more or less parallel or only slightly interwoven, septate; clamp connections absent or difficult to detect.
Stipe surface with blastoconidia-producing hyphae forming capitate hairs, hyaline, thin-walled, up to 35 µm long with a head diameter up to 8 µm.
Cheilocystidia scattered, polymorphic, lageniform to fusiform, some slightly capitate, up to 30 µm long and 5.5-7 µm in maximum width.
Basidia clavate, 25-30 µm long and 6.5-8.5 µm wide, with basal clamps, 4-spored.
Spores not observed, according to literature ellipsoidal to fusiform, hyaline, thin-walled, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent, measuring 8-11 x 4-5 µm.
