Cheilocystidia very abundant, completely covering the gill edge, fusiform to lageniform, with a long neck and well-differentiated capitate head, up to 35 µm long and a maximum width of 10 µm.
Basidia clavate, with faint granular internal content, up to 27 µm long, mostly 4-spored.
Spores ellipsoidal to slightly amygdaliform, thick-walled and verrucose, brown under the microscope, with darker internal warts, an inconspicuous eccentric apiculus at one end, distinctly dextrinoid in Melzer's reagent.
