Fibroporia vaillantii
(DC.) Parmasto

Study description
Dimitic hyphal system, with thick-walled, straight, rarely branched skeletal hyphae very abundant in the context (up to 5 µm wide, inamyloid), and thin-walled clamped generative hyphae (3 to 6 µm wide) more abundant in the trama.
Without differentiated cystidia, but with scattered fusiform cystidioles in the hymenium, slightly smaller than the basidia.
Basidia clavate, up to 28 µm long, with basal clamp connections, 4-spored.
Spores ellipsoidal, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with an inconspicuous eccentric apiculus at one end, one or several oil droplets, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
