Eupropolella britannica
Greenh. & Morgan-Jones

Study description
Asci clavate, with croziers at their base, 8-spored, with an amyloid apical apparatus in iodine reagents.
Paraphyses filiform, slender, hyaline, not projecting above the asci.
Ascospores cylindrical with slightly pointed ends, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with granular content, 1- to 3-septate at maturity (septa more conspicuous in Lactophenol Blue).
Because it occurs on Hedera helix leaves, H.O. Baral lists it in his records as Eupropolella hederae, an unrecognised epithet without microscopic differences from the species described here.
