Stromata yellowish in section.
Asci fusiform, 8-spored, with biseriate to irregular spore arrangement, with a minute discoid apical apparatus not reacting with Melzer's reagent.
Paraphyses not found.
Ascospores large, cylindric-allantoid, smooth, thin-walled, hyaline or with only faint grayish intracellular pigment, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
