Marginal hairs cylindrical, septate, surface granulated, only very slightly widened at the apex, with rounded tips.

Medullary excipulum of hyaline filamentous interwoven hyphae (textura intricata).

Ectal excipulum of textura prismatica formed by hyaline hyphae up to 18 µm long.

Asci cylindric-clavate, with croziers at their base, 8-spored, up to 60 µm long, with an amyloid apical apparatus.

Paraphyses filiform, smooth, hyaline, up to 3.5 µm wide, slightly pointed at apices, containing small internal oil guttules.

Ascospores ellipsoidal to fusiform, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
