Microscopía de Cuphophyllus russocoriaceus

Study description

Filamentous suprapellis, with hyaline hyphae arranged more or less parallel and with clamped septa; subpellis hyphae of identical morphology to the suprapellis.

Lamellar trama irregular, with interwoven filamentous hyphae.

Lamellar edge homomorphic, without differentiated elements from basidia or basidioles.

Basidia cylindrical, narrow, very elongated (up to 50 µm or more long), widening very slightly and progressively toward the apex, with basal clamp connections, 2- or 4-spored.

Spores short ellipsoidal, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with an eccentric apiculus at one end, a large internal oil droplet, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.

Herbarium material available: JTP2022/23 and 2738/26.
