Coprinopsis pseudomarcescibilis
Heykoop, G.Moreno & P.Alvarado

Study description
Mixed pileipellis, composed of a thin layer of elongated, hyaline hyphae arranged parallel, and underneath these, globose to ellipsoidal, very broad hyphae, constricted at the septa.
Caulocystidia present on the stipe surface, multiform, cylindrical to sinuous, utriform, some slightly ventricose and even subcapitate.
Cheilocystidia very abundant, completely covering the lamellar edge, utriform or bottle-shaped, slightly widened at the apex and with a basal pedicel.
Pleurocystidia not observed.
Basidia clavate and 4-spored.
Spores ellipsoidal, brown under the microscope, with a visible slightly eccentric apiculus and a slightly flattened germ pore at the opposite end.
Species microscopically very similar to its congener, Coprinopsis marcescibilis, the latter having considerably smaller spores (11 to 12 µm long according to literature).
