Conocybe macrospora
(G.F.Atk.) Hauskn.

Study description
Cutis composed of clavate, globose to pyriform hyphae, hyaline or with only very slight ochraceous intracellular pigment.
Caulocystidia of varied morphology: lecythiform, cylindrical, sinuous, fusiform, etc. (Section Mixtae).
Cheilocystidia lecythiform, with a short neck and a rather small spherical capitulum. The width measurements indicated here correspond to the width of the capitulum, not the broadest part of the belly.
Basidia clavate, abruptly widened at the apex, mostly 2-spored.
Spores very large, the largest in the genus, smooth, hyaline to ochraceous under the microscope, thick-walled, with an apiculus at one end and a germ pore at the opposite end, with faint granular content.
