Clitopilus pinsitus
(Fr.) Joss.

Study description
Filamentous cutis formed by cylindrical interwoven hyphae, with slight intracellular pigment and without clamp connections.
Lamellar edge without differentiated cystidia, although some very narrow sinuous hair-like elements projecting above the basidia level are observed.
Basidia clavate, rather short (up to 30 µm), markedly widened at the apex, 4-spored and without basal clamp connections.
Spores ellipsoidal, smooth, hyaline, moderately thick-walled, with a slightly lateral apiculus, and longitudinal ridges difficult to observe under the light microscope.
