Marginal hairs absent in some collections and scarce in others, short, thin-walled, weakly pigmented, virtually hyaline, septate, with pointed tips.

Asci cylindrical, 8-spored, uniseriate and inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.

Paraphyses filiform, with yellowish intracellular pigment and slightly widened at the apex.

Ascospores ellipsoidal, completely hyaline, without oil content inside.
