Study description
Ectal excipulum with globose to slightly polygonal hyphae (textura globosa-angularis).
Outer hairs short, thick-walled, septate, moderately pigmented, with a simple (non-bifurcate) base.
Asci cylindrical, uniseriate and 8-spored.
Paraphyses filiform, septate, with very abundant orange intracellular pigment, slightly widened at the terminal cell, not protruding above the level of the asci.
Ascospores ellipsoidal, smooth and hyaline, without vacuolar content inside.
