Basal hyphae heavily pigmented and of textura globoso-angularis.

Medullary excipular hyphae filamentous and hyaline, interwoven.

Asci clavate, uniseriate and 8-spored, with croziers at their base and without apparent reaction of their apical apparatus in Melzer's reagent.

Paraphyses filamentous, septate, widened at the apex, where they are enveloped in a yellowish amorphous substance.

Ascospores fusiform, hyaline, smooth, thin-walled, with one end more pointed, containing faint lipid droplets inside.
