Cellulariella warnieri
(Durieu & Mont.) Zmitr. & Malysheva

Study description
General: Lignicolous on hardwoods, formerly known as Lenzites warnieri, with semicircular basidiomata, glabrous to slightly nodulose whitish-cream pileus with greyish tones, sinuous and forked lamellae, and pale cream context.
Hyphal system: Trimitic: skeletal hyphae thick-walled, 3-5 µm wide; generative hyphae hyaline, thin-walled, 2-3 µm wide, septate with clamp connections; binding hyphae 2-4 µm wide, sinuous to tortuous and branched.
Hymenial cystidia: Absent; sterile hymenial elements absent.
Basidia: Clavate, short, 15-25 x 5-6 µm, with basal clamp connections, 4-spored.
Spores: Cylindrical to very slightly allantoid, smooth, hyaline, thin-walled, with an eccentric to lateral apiculus, containing oil droplets, inamyloid in Melzer's reagent.
