Callistosporium luteo-olivaceum
(Berk. & M.A.Curtis) Singer

Study description
Hyphae of the pileipellis filamentous, heavily pigmented with brown, apparently without clamp connections.
Caulocystidia not observed.
Lamellar edge homomorphic, without clearly differentiated cystidia, but with a substantial quantity of terminal cells functioning as cylindrical, somewhat sinuous hairs, though not true cheilocystidia; additionally observed are numerous basidia with refractive contents functioning as chrysocystidia, alongside other basidia without this refractive content (bearing only granules and lipid droplets) which likewise produce spores, all basidia observed being 4-spored.
Lamellar face microscopically identical to the lamellar edge.
Spores hyaline, ellipsoid, with a lateral apiculus and a large lipid droplet inside.
Herbarium material available: JTP2042/24.
