Study description
Species typical of calcareous soils, associated with conifers or mixed woods, with a convex cap that tends to flatten, whitish, having an unpleasant odour and sweet taste.
Pileipellis filamentous, with the outermost layer composed of cylindrical hyphae, 3 to 7 µm wide, interwoven, with intracellular ochraceous pigment inside, and septa provided with clamp connections.
Gill edge (lamellar edge) homomorphic, without differentiated elements from basidia or basidioles.
Lamellar trama composed of parallel, clamped hyphae (regular trama).
Basidia cylindrical-clavate, 25 to 35 µm long, 6 to 8 µm wide, with basal clamps, 4-spored.
In this study barely any spores could be obtained, but the few recovered displayed dimensions above those attributed to the species in the literature (7–10 x 3–4 µm).
