Artomyces pyxidatus
(Pers.) Jülich

Study description
Trama with monomitic hyphal system, composed exclusively of generative hyphae, filamentous, hyaline and provided with clamp connections, sharing space with numerous oil-filled cystidia (gloeocystidia/oleiferous hyphae).
Although cystidia are not clearly defined, terminal hyphae resembling narrow, sinuous hairs can be observed in the hymenium.
Basidia cylindrical to clavate, only slightly widened at the tip, 4-spored.
Spores small, ellipsoidal, hyaline, with their surface very minutely verrucose, amyloid in Melzer's reagent.
