(Speg. ex Sacc. & Trotter) Daranag., Camporesi & K.D.Hyde

Study description
Perithecia solitary, erumpent, resembling blackish grains, conical with a central ostiole, measuring up to 120 µm long by 90 µm wide, on a slender decaying stem of Rubus sp.
Asci 8-spored, 120 to 170 µm long, 7 to 10 µm wide, with spore arrangement within the ascus ranging from uniseriate to biseriate, without croziers at their base, and with an apical apparatus amyloid in Melzer's reagent.
Paraphyses filamentous, 1.5 to 2.5 µm wide, hyaline, with faint granular content inside and protruding above the level of the asci.
Ascospores free, weakly pigmented, fusiform, 23 to 32 µm long, 5 to 6.5 µm wide, with a septum at one end and a pronounced constriction at the cross-wall; upon maturation, the larger cell turns dark greenish-brown with oil droplets inside, while the smaller cell remains hyaline.
