Pileipellis filamentous, composed of interwoven hyphae with brown intracellular pigment and without clamp connections.

Cheilocystidia subglobose to clavate, virtually hyaline.

Basidia 4-spored, clavate, cylindrical and slightly widened at the apex.

Spores ovoid to short ellipsoidal, smooth, thick-walled, brown under the microscope, with a large droplet inside and a distinct apiculus.
