Miladina lecithina
(Cooke) Svrček

Study description
An attractive ascomycete with a vivid yellow colour appearing from late spring to late summer. Its habitat is quite specialized, occurring only on very wet or semi-submerged wood (mostly hardwoods) in rivers and streams.
Apothecia usually do not exceed 3 mm in diameter, yet their brightness makes them easily visible.
Studied collection was made on the banks of the Bayas river in Urkabustaiz (Álava) in early July, colonizing a large semi-submerged broadleaf log at the water margin.
