Lanzia luteovirescens
(Roberge ex Desm.) Dumont & Korf

Study description
Small cupulate ascomycete with an apothecium barely reaching 5 mm across in the best specimens. The ascoma displays a striking greenish-yellow colour on the hymenium and a paler colouration on the outer surface.
The stipe, anchored in the substrate, varies in length, reaching up to 1 cm or more.
A rare and seldom recorded species, perhaps owing to its diminutive size and restricted habitat, as it grows exclusively on old decayed petioles of species in the genus Acer.
The collection studied took place in late October on old petioles of Acer campestre in a parkland area of Zuia (Álava).
