Inocybe transitoria
(Britzelm.) Sacc.

Study description
Species with a pileus ranging from brown to chestnut, with more or less reddish hues and a darker centre. The base of the stipe is typically bulbous, although this feature is not always prominent.
Microscopy reveals nodulose spores measuring between 7 and 10 µm, which distinguishes it from similar species such as I. napipes.
It is an uncommon fungus, fruiting between summer and autumn, predominantly in deciduous forests.
The specimens examined in this study were collected at the end of May, growing in a mixed forest under Fagus sylvatica and Quercus rubra, in Zeanuri (Bizkaia).
