Inocybe rufuloides
Bon

Study description
A species typical of sandy soils and coastal dune systems under maritime pines (Pinus pinaster, Pinus halepensis, etc.).
Pileus fibrillose-tomentose, brownish, reddish-brown, or pinkish-brown. Stipe distinctly pruinose, revealing reddish or pinkish undertones beneath the pruinose coating.
Its section includes numerous lookalikes, necessitating thorough microscopic analysis for reliable determination.
Study based on a collection from the coastal sand dunes of Liencres (Piélagos, Cantabria) in March, near a Pinus pinaster stand.
An earlier photograph taken in the coastal dunes of Gorliz (Bizkaia) is also included.
