Inocybe acuta

Boud.

Microscopía de Inocybe acuta

Study description

A small Inocybe with a pileus rarely exceeding 3 cm in diameter, dark brown, fibrillose, featuring a prominent central umbo darker than the rest of the cap.

Favours wetlands or peat bogs with Sphagnum moss, typically in association with willows (Salix).

Nodulose spores exceeding 10 µm in length provide a reliable microscopic diagnostic character.

The specimens studied here were found in a very wet, seasonally flooded area among Sphagnum under Salix atrocinerea and Betula pubescens in Zeanuri (Bizkaia), where the species fruits consistently each year from late April to mid-May.
