Hypholoma elongatum
(Pers.) Ricken

Study description
A Hypholoma typical of bogs and waterlogged mires, growing among mosses of the genus Sphagnum with which it is ecologically associated.
The pileus exhibits yellowish colors with greenish tints to brownish, rarely exceeding 4 cm in diameter, in striking contrast to a remarkably elongated stipe that can reach up to 12 cm, this notable disproportion being a key characteristic of the species.
Specimens examined in this study were gathered in a seasonally flooded depression under Salix atrocinerea growing among Sphagnum spp. in October in the Gorbeia Natural Park, Zeanuri (Bizkaia).
