Helvella fibrosa
(Wallr.) Korf

Study description
A small cup-shaped Helvella that flattens and expands at maturity. It closely resembles Helvella macropus, a much more common species; however, examining their spores readily resolves any doubt.
A species that typically fruits in spring, though it can be found practically year-round, usually in the most humid parts of forests.
The collection presented in this study was found in late May in Zeanuri (Bizkaia), in a very humid, periodically flooded area under Salix atrocinerea.
