Coprinopsis semitalis
(P.D.Orton) Redhead, Vilgalys & Moncalvo

Study description
A small Coprinopsis with a dirty white to greyish pileus that barely reaches 3 cm when expanded, and a stipe not exceeding 5 to 6 cm. It typically fruits in gregarious groups in damp, humus-rich areas or leaf litter along forest tracksides.
The universal veil consists of vesiculose hyphae encrusted with small granules.
The spores measure 11 to 12 µm in the studied sample (up to 14 µm according to literature) and are surrounded by a distinct, conspicuous perisporium (loosened outer wall sheath).
An uncommon species in personal field experience, found on only a single occasion in small clusters among needle litter and grass in a Pinus radiata plantation in Orozko (Bizkaia).
