Collybiopsis luxurians
(Peck) R.H.Petersen

Study description
Collybiopsis luxurians is a species of American origin that could be considered invasive, spreading across the Iberian Peninsula and the rest of Europe, apparently introduced through wood mulch used in landscaping.
The pileus can reach 6 cm or more according to literature, ranging from brownish to reddish or vinaceous-red. It usually fruits caespitously in troops on wood chips or decaying wood debris.
The specimens studied were found in Astrabudua, Erandio (Bizkaia), growing on a decaying stump of an unidentified tree in a landscaped area.
Of note, despite preparing multiple mounts, cheilocystidia could not be observed.
