Clavaria flavipes
Pers.

Study description
Clavaria flavipes is a rare and poorly documented species in our area, cream-colored in early developmental stages and turning straw-yellow tones at maturity.
It usually fruits in small groups in humid parts of forests or meadows from late autumn to early winter. Macroscopically it resembles several species, primarily in the genus Clavulinopsis, but is readily separated by microscopy with globose to subglobose spores measuring 6-8 µm.
We know only a single locality for this species, in a hay meadow where it fruits every autumn between November and December, accompanied by numerous Hygrocybe, Clavulinopsis, and geoglossaceous fungi in the municipality of Erandio (Bizkaia).
