Agaricus depauperatus
(F.H.Møller) Pilát

Study description
This is a medium-sized Agaricus with variable coloration, ranging from almost completely white to off-white, with greyish tones or tending toward brown.
The flesh reddens slightly upon cutting and turns weakly yellow with KOH at the stipe base.
For microscopic identification, observing the numerous globose cystidia lining the gill edge is very helpful.
A rare species that usually occurs in open areas or more frequently in coniferous or deciduous forests.
The studied group was found in November in a grassy clearing alongside a track in a Pinus sylvestris forest in the municipality of Gaubea (Álava).
